Ejection System
What is an ejection system?
A system in which the pilot of an aircraft or the occupant of the other ejection seat(s) initiates ejection resulting in the automatic ejection of all occupants.
Ejection system specifications:
During the construction of the ejection system we had in mind the following problems:
1-How will the ejection system be activated?
2-What if the vehicle is under a bridge or tunnel at the time before the crash?
3- If the vehicle is in a place where there is a public, how would the seat and/or driver be prevented from landing on people?
4- Since the vehicle will be in a space where there will be more vehicles running, what would happen to the car after the system is activated? How would you prevent the driver from an accident with the other cars in the race?
The system will be controlled by a button that will be placed next to the emergency brake, that the driver will be able to activate it.
The system will include two types of sensors:
1. Sensor group shall recognize whether the vehicle is under a tunnel, based on proximity to nearby surfaces and an eco-resonant apparatus; such sensors shall lock the system so that it cannot be activated at that time.
2. Another group of sensors, will be used to detect when the seat has been ejected, to gradually reduce the speed of the car, slowing down gradually. This to prevent the moving car from causing other accidents.
Otherwise, after the chair is in the air at a certain height, the parachute will be opened. At that point, the pilot will have at his fingertips two-directional bands that will open on both sides, so he can redirect his falling position. This can prevent the falling pilot from crashing with people in the audience or with bridges in the middle of their trajectory.
Note: The parachute must have an elongated rectangular shape to give more handling to the pilot at the time of landing.
